What is fascinating about this piece is that because you know what you see is nowhere near all of mangle...what you can barely make out in the shadows is far more intimidating (and impressive from an art point of view.) Making something visible for all to see in full detail is one thing. Making something that is impressive visually that you have to squint and risk getting closer to your screen and thus getting closer to the monster to make out is a special skill and it looks great.

Thanks! haha i like how chonky he is too. I'm glad a lot of people got peaceful vibes from the painting, its always interesting to see if a feeling will translate well to others while painting it but I think the greens and warm tones added to the peaceful feeling for me at least

Wouldn't be something worth studying if you knew it so well you couldn't make a mistake. It turned out great and now the next time you work with a zaku or mobile suit you will pay extra attention to the shoulder's because of this piece. It looks sweet and you learned something that's 2 for 1 right there. Great work, keep it up!

Thank you! Yea I was using an old figure I had from when I was a kid as a reference, but it was missing the correct shoulder piece for the right side and I forgot to actually look up what the original looked like. Still, this was a fun thing to paint
